Mojo - Classic Rock

My apologies folks, just got time to apologise for lack of updates here.
Yes at last I have got off my backside and put other work to one side to try to catch up here!

September – What an excellent month with some great fun gigs! Well – we thought so! No doubt we would be told if otherwise!

• 4th – We visited the Arrow in Yeovil. What an excellent venue! New to us and a great place to play.
• 5th – Excise House, Weymouth. Always a pleasure to visit this venue.
• 11th – The York Inn , Exmouth. This place is alway busy busy!! Great people and great fun!
• 18th – Winyards Gap – between Crewkerne and Dorchester. Toby and Michelle made us welcome and the locals are a great bunch of folks – look forward to going back on Christmas Eve!
• 19th – Golden Lion, Weymouth. What a night!! Not sure what got into the folks down here – we had a great night! Busy busy!!!!
• 26th – The Squirrel Inn at Laymore on the Somerset Dorset border. A new one on us and a private party! great fun and excellent venue to play!

Well – that’s September gigs and we had a fun month. Many thanks to all involved!

Four gigs done and several rehearsals under our belts and Pete is well back into the Mojo stable!! He was actually in at the start of Mojo before Ben and had to pack up thro’ pressure of work, I believe. Now he’s back! And loving it.

With the amount of work we have coming in he’s going to be busy! We’re ALL going to be busy!

Ok – on 20th February ‘09 – we played at Ben’s last gig with Mojo down at Finns in Weymouth. An excellent evening with a LOT of folks down to see Ben and Lindsay off to a great future.

After several years with Mojo – Ben Jones, bass guitarist, is having to leave! Mind you, can’t blame him when the job he’s off to is in Switzerland!

He and his lady, Lindsay, have both got excellent jobs over there and we wish both of them and the boys the very best for the future. Any chance of a gig over there??!!

Mojo – a Classic Rock band that has been around for a few years. A trio of guys who love what they do!

Some two years ago I was asked by Tony, guitar and vocals if I could sit in while the resident drummer, Dave, was away. Well – apparently he got my name from an agent we used for a few years down in Weymouth. So – could I refuse? I think not!

Well for a couple of years I stood in when Dave was away. I started to get the taste for this!

Recently the drum stool came vacant, full time. Was I interested? Does the pope have a balcony? I should think so! So here we are in 2009 and loving it!
